Custom Videos
Type of quality is a opinion each person has a different view on its definitons. This is what i use and covered by warranty. Perfection / Remastered / Computer Generated / HD (High Definition = High Brightness, High Contrast) or other future (2000 and up) quality: N/A. Older shows, fan films, and low budget films may have grain. That is just how they are made can't get no better. Certain films have play watermarks that appear on top for a few seconds that don't interfere hardly. - A = near perfect to few lines appear not throughout possible small fade (small flaw, hardly noticable during daylight, makes picture a shade darker if picture is dark (night time)). B = 1 to few lines appear half to throughout, possible fade. C = many lines appear, possible fade, skipping, snow. D = recorded from rabbit ears, snow is throughout covering the whole picture, before cable, not likely to have other flaws. E = viewable if you have good vision & pay close attention, unless a show exists no other way i won't have a E. F = not viewable or watchable in any way, i won't have a F. Not all videos are the same because they come from various sources, not copied right somewhere along the line, may not exist any better.
Credits = theme, cast, title screen, episode / short title, producer, directer, writer, logo, etc. Commericals = yes ~ more than half or throughout, no ~ less than half or none. Approx. run time = about how long the show is including credits and commericals if they are any; doesn't include duplicates, extra shows & blank space.
Episode listing = order of episodes/shorts on each tape/disc, listing i give is tape/disc number then what episode number or episode name they are according to the order in which they aired [sometimes not production order]. aka = Also known as. N/A = Not available. Watermark = wording that is on the screen or going across the screen that someone or something put there that was not originally there
Master print = straight from the original master reel before aired or released, original version of a film or recording from which a series of copies can be made; those that are marked master print are from the studio edit or storage vault and not from a officially released video except those few that are mixed in with the TV channels and shorts. Kinescope = made by a 16mm camera trained on a monitor during a live broadcast
Fan Film = film where a fan makes a video where no money is used on anyone except for equipment being used to make it; almost all fan films the copyright owners of characters being used are not involved but sometimes will promote it in a free matter. Public Domain (PD): show that the copyright has expired, company that owns it no longer in business, or where the owner does not care; if a show is in the public domain one can do whatever they want even mass produce sales. Shorts = similiar to episodes except they run about 7 minutes, not all shows that appear to be shorts are known as shorts and are just called episodes
NTSC VHS = National Television Standards Committee, used in the United States, Canada, and Japan. DVD Region 1 = playable on United States and Canada, (Region Free plays on anything) other regions will vary. CD-R & CD-RW (VCD) Video Compact Disc (about 80 minutes); SVCD (Super Video CD) about 60 minutes. DVD-R & DVD+R have no differences not counting compatible equipment; DVD-RW has 2 modes Video & VR (more freedom to edit but only compatible in players that can play VR). CD-R / DVD-R / DVD+R = recordable (cannot record over); CD-RW / DVD-RW / DVD+RW = rewritable (can record over). Finalize = make playable on other equipment, if not finalize it will only play on the equipment it was made from
VHS Speeds = SP Speed = Standard Play, LP Speed = Long Play, EP (aka SLP) Speed = Extended Play (aka Super Long Play). T-120 = 2 hours in SP, 4 hours in LP, & 6 hours in EP; T-160 = 2 hours 40 minutes in SP, 5 hours 20 minutes in LP, & 8 hours in EP; T-180 = 3 hours in SP, 6 hours in LP, & 9 hours in EP; T-200 = 3 hours 20 minutes in SP, 6 hours 40 minutes in LP, & 10 hours in EP. There are many more sizes to a VHS (range T-10 to T-220).
DVD Speeds varies on equipment = HQ / XP / Fine speed (High Quality Play) = 1 hour; HSP (High Standard Play) = 90 minutes; SP speed (Standard Play) = 2 hours; LP speed (Long Play) = 3 or 4 hours; EP speed (Extended Play) = 4 or 6 hours; SLP speed (Super Long Play) = 6 or 8 hours; SEP speed (Super Extended Play) = 8 or 10 hours
Comics
Near mint = like new. Fine condition = here and there very minor (bend, crease, etc) not worth noting. Good condition = several creases, bends, etc. Fair condition = many flaws but is still readable on all pages nothing missing; i won't have any unless ultra rare. Poor condition = bad shape, sometimes not readable or part of comic is missing, i don't have any. Some books are in black & white which is not noted.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Why do you not accept checks, credit cards and online payment methods? Give change?
Answer: I don't want to mess with a waiting period after payment arrives and alot of people misuse checks. Credit cards and online payment methods are not safe because it is impossible to check for proper id and can easily (even a kid can do it) be fake. Change is given out in cash.
Q: Secure ordering? Cash not safe to send?
A: Never was safe to order online. It does not exist nor will it ever exist. It is a chance that the person takes. Same risk factor as a money order, only difference is you pay less with cash; no one looks for cash being sent through the mail, there is no proof of delivery unless you have me sign for it; money order will show you, you paid for the item(s) but that's about all it does, for certain money orders if high amount you will be able to get part of it back if you have your receipt but it's not worth the hassle to do all that is required and very long wait time.
Q: No address found, local pickup?
A: I don't want to post it for security reasons nor do i want a order to come when i don't know about it. It will be emailed with the email receipt. Store is internet based; can pickup locally in the middle TN area if you want to.
Q: Shipping prices? Overcharge? Discount shipping?
A: There are to many combinations. There is no base fee or each additional item. It is according to what the shipping company charges me and if i want to give you a discount. Want a quote just ask. Email to tell me if i have overcharged an unreasonable amount. I will check it out if ok a refund will be sent. I discount shipping on medium to large orders when i can not always.
Q: Takes so long to complete a video order?
A: First order arrive first serve, i don't make them ahead of time, recorded in real time, have only a few operational copying equipment, some orders larger than others, able to make them only at certain times and once in awhile something comes up and i can't make any at all on that day. I don't drag it out. In trades or credit i check it before making yours to avoid fraud or not like described.
Q: DVD videos cost more? Other people charge less for the same or similiar item? More DVDs than VHS on certain shows?
A: DVD must be handled carefully to avoid destroying it, fingerprints, etc. Equipment cost more and usually can't be fixed when not working and have to get another. I don't use blanks that have short life. Other people will use one or more of the following: cheap short lived blanks, packing and caring is poor, using a burner or tower which is not freeze proof, picture pixelates, not honoring their replacement or refund policy, does not answer questions or make up something. My effort and descriptions are unmatched. To my knowledge there does not exist any good made equipment that will record higher than 6 hours, if i do find one it will change.
Q: Order individual episodes instead of the set? Two or more shows to be put on 6 hour speed instead of each one separate?
A: Depending upon on what you need ask, may or maynot have menus. I don't transfer 6 hour speed to a lower speed.
Q: Should i get a video from you when it has a official release or i can download it?
A: Could be any of the following: cut or changed, says it's complete but isn't, freezes making it unwatchable and company will not fix it, cheap made. Sometimes available to download but there are risks: private information is shared, turns out to be a virus or spy files, bad file, usually have to convert to make it playable on tv. Your connection might not be able to handle the download.
Q: No DVD menus, DVD-R/DVD+R/CD-R/BD-R,VHS T-200, PAL VHS, DVDs in other regions, other formats?
A: I don't have time to make menus. I don't want to use blanks that are not rewrittable, out of country, or hardly anyone uses. T-200 are no longer being made.
Q: Trading or credit only?
A: Owner telling me they don't want me to sell it, show has a official release that is not public domain. Nothing to trade or credit ask about the alternative method.
Q: Labeling videos? Brand blanks used? Watermarks? Run time? ¤
A: Piece of paper in the sleeves or cases; labels, cases, or discs are not written on. I use whatever kind is in stock when i order from my source, if your equipment only plays certain sizes ask. Sometimes i run out of a certain name brand and use a different one on the same order. Electronic equipment since about the mid 90's make the play and other watermarks appear, doing various recording it records the watermark skipping it may cause part of the show to miss something. Trial logos from software or someone made their own mark on purpose. Usually does not interfere very much and is is gone within a few seconds. Each player & blank is different which may speed up or slow down which is not noticable unless you time it, does not mean something is added or missing. Move your cursor over to see the ¤.
Q: Videos not like described on your equipment but plays like described on mine? Ordering a show or comic that isn't what you wanted?
A: It means your equipment is causing the problem either something is wrong, cheap made, or not compatible. There are several shows and comics that hold the same title check the year and volume number. Artwork and condition on comics is the same way if not marked and you looking for a certain cover or condition ask before ordering.
Q: Order problems? Don't like it?
A: Email me, there is no reason not to and no reason one would not want to go through the replacement / refund process, i am not perfect, if one does not let me know there exists a problem then i think there is none, mind reading is not one of my skills, of course if you choose not to participate that's fine to, that's your freedom of choice; you ordered something in a store in your town you would return it (don't get replacement/refund if store doesn't have item(s) back) same process here, why would you not want to return it doesn't make any sense (it would be if shipping was a factor but it isn't). If you don't like anything then don't order.
